The ProblemI left an anonymous FTP site open for a couple of days and now I have several gigs worth of files I can't delete because they are "invalid file name" and "file not found". My ftp site had been TAGGED. The SolutionI had miles and miles of directories full of spaces at the end of the names, and filenames like LPT1 and COM1 and CON and NULL and directory names that are simply a bunch of spaces. Well, Microsoft wasn't much help. They told me WHY I couldn't delete this stuff, but no good way to fix it. Their suggestions DO work, but it would take me weeks to do it their way. Then go down into directories and delete them one by one... I still have a few directory names left.... but the files are all gone now.... |
